What's different about the Indigo user interface (UI) 

The Sentral Indigo UI offers a more organised, user-friendly experience with a clean, uncluttered interface that improves  readability and reduces visual strain, making it easier for users to navigate, access help, and perform tasks while ensuring accessibility for all*. 
  • A simpler, cleaner design with an indigo colour scheme: Less screen clutter and less visual strain 
  • Improved main navigation: A centralised location that places all Sentral’s modules at your fingertips
  • Platform header changes: Quick access to the tools you need to setup/configure your platform, perform admin tasks and find support
  • Improved page scrolling behaviour: More workspace area and less distractions to help improve your workflow

When will Sentral be retiring the Classic UI?
 To ensure a consistent user experience across all schools, Sentral will phase retire the Classic user interface for most schools by early September (end of Term 3).

How do I switch over to the Indigo UI?

On the Classic user interface, click on your Username located on the top header, and select 'Try New Sentral'.

Will the Classic UI be retired?

Yes, to ensure a consistent user experience across all schools, Sentral will retire the Classic UI for most schools by early September (end of Term 3). Keep an eye out on your emails or messages on the Sentral platform or reach the Sentral Support team.


What should I be aware of in order to prepare for this?

Switching to the Indigo UI is designed to be seamless. You can switch to the Indigo user interface at your convenience at any time.

  • Ensure staff are informed about the upcoming changes and when it will occur
